The culinary exploration in El Fuerte was a treat! Strolling just 10 minutes away, I delved into local eateries like Mansion de los Orrantia, which served a healthy taco feast! The hotel’s charm and spacious room added so much to the vibe, making it feel like stepping back in time.
It's a shame this lovely hacienda hotel doesn't offer breakfast. with its grand space, it could totally pull it off. If you're catching an early train, yeah, you'll be whipping up supermarket snacks without a fridge or coffee maker in sight. Just a thought!

Charming hacienda with quirky touches
Hotel El Fuerte captures the essence of traditional Mexican architecture with its colorful hacienda style. The central courtyard enhances the experience, making it a pleasant place to unwind after exploring the town.
However, the cooling units in our room struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature, making it hard to sleep at night. Additionally, the WiFi service was only available in the lobby, which was somewhat inconvenient.

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
The location is wonderful, with great local restaurants just a short walk away. However, the cooling units struggled to keep the rooms comfortable. A fridge or coffee maker would enhance the overall experience, especially for families. Plan ahead for breakfast needs.

Charming hacienda style with vibrant traditional tiles caught my eye immediately. The open courtyard created a lovely atmosphere for relaxing. My King Room was spacious, with comfortable beds, perfect after a day of exploring. I enjoyed the beautiful garden view and the quiet ambiance. However, the cooling unit struggled to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Even at night, it didn't drop below 82, which made sleeping a challenge. The staff were professional and attentive, ensuring my needs were met. It was also nice having local dining options just a short walk away for meals. But I was disappointed to find out there were no breakfast options on-site, requiring planning ahead for my morning meals.

Our family of four, along with two other couples, enjoyed the spacious room with vibrant decor. The proximity to the main square made exploring local culture easy, and we had fun discovering nearby restaurants for authentic meals.
My wife says that breakfast options would really enhance the stay.

charming stay , but lack of breakfast options
The hotel boasts a beautiful hacienda style, filled with colorful traditional tiles that add character to the atmosphere. The spacious room provided a comfortable retreat, particularly the bathroom area which was quite generous. The staff, especially Julia, were attentive and proactive, ensuring our needs were met, even checking on our taxi arrangements for early travel. The garden view from various spots in the hotel was a delightful touch.
Breakfast options were absent, making it challenging for morning meals.

Charming decor with vibrant traditional tiles adds character, while the clean, spacious rooms create a welcoming atmosphere. The rooftop provides incredible sunset views, enhancing the overall experience. However, despite its many positives, the air conditioning failed to cool rooms adequately, keeping temperatures uncomfortably warm at night. Additionally, the lack of breakfast options on site can be a drawback. Access to local dining within a short walk compensates somewhat, making it a great base to explore the area.
